Elevating the lives of Energy Workers with unwavering compassion and whole-person care for over 50 years.
We were the first licensed home healthcare organization in the state of Tennessee. Not the just first in the region but the first in Tennessee.
Our founders understood something that would take federal policy decades to fully recognize: the men and women who worked at Y-12, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, K-25, and the surrounding facilities had given something profound and they deserved care that honored that sacrifice.
We welcome you into our family, just as you welcome us into your home.
Clinch River Healthcare's Timeline of Service
1975 — Founded to Serve Community in Need
Clinch River Healthcare is established as Tennessee’s first licensed home health agency, proudly serving the Oak Ridge corridor and the surrounding communities of Anderson County.
1975 to 1999 — Growing Alongside Oak Ridge
As Oak Ridge transitioned from weapons production to research and environmental cleanup, Clinch River Healthcare evolved with the community, expanding services to meet the changing needs of an aging and hardworking population.
2000 to 2013 — Supporting Energy Workers Through Change
With the passage of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA), energy workers gained long overdue recognition and access to benefits. Clinch River Healthcare stepped in to help workers and families understand the program and navigate the path to care and support.
2014 to Today — Strengthened by a National Network
Clinch River Healthcare joined the United Energy Workers Healthcare family, enhancing its ability to serve with greater clinical resources, expanded benefits expertise, and broader support. While growing in scale, the organization remains deeply rooted in East Tennessee, committed to delivering compassionate, whole person care to the community it has served for decades.
